Frequently asked questions

Everything about how 20-0 works — the scoring, the ratings, the daily challenge, and playing with others.

Is 20-0 free to play?

Yes. The full game — solo runs, the daily challenge, leaderboards, and online play — is free in any browser, with no download or account required. An optional Supporter membership removes ads and adds cosmetics, and optional Yards packs buy cosmetic upgrades, but nothing is paywalled.

What does "20-0" mean?

It's a perfect season — winning every game, including the playoffs, without a single loss. Your goal is to build a roster strong enough that the simulation projects it to run the table 20-0. It's deliberately hard: only a deep, well-balanced all-time roster gets there.

How is my roster scored?

Each player has an era-normalized 0–100 overall rating. Your roster's position-weighted average drives a non-linear win curve: wins come cheaply up to a "floor," then the climb to a perfect record gets steeper and steeper. A single weak starter pulls the average down, so balance matters as much as star power. Your displayed points and your projected record always come from the same number, so they never disagree.

How are player ratings decided?

Production is measured against the league context of each specific season (so eras compare fairly), then blended with era-proof markers of greatness — championships, major awards, and all-time accolades. Ratings are tuned against a difficulty harness that simulates thousands of drafts so a perfect run stays a real achievement. See the About page for the full methodology.

What is the Daily Challenge?

One shared puzzle a day: everyone gets the exact same sequence of spins, you get a single attempt, and there's a daily leaderboard plus a streak. A fresh challenge drops every day at midnight US Eastern. Some days run a themed twist with a special spin filter.

Can I play against other people?

Yes. Online play matches you with others on an identical sequence of spins; you're ranked by the overall value of the team you build, and ranked ladders track your rating over time. You can also add friends and challenge them directly.

What are re-rolls?

If you don't like a spin, you can skip it for a fresh one — but the budget is limited, so part of the skill is knowing when to gamble on a better team and when to take a solid pick. Every run also guarantees one curated all-time-great "legend" spin.

What sports can I play?

20-0 is the pro-football edition. The same "can you go perfect?" idea runs across a network of games in other sports, each with its own all-time data and perfect-season target — they're all listed on the More Games page.

How is my data handled?

You can play with no account at all. If you sign in (to save runs, keep a streak, or play ranked), we store only what's needed for those features. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Is this affiliated with the NFL or any team?

No. 20-0 is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any professional sports league, team, or player.

I found a wrong stat, or someone using an offensive name — how do I report it?
